Our colleague Dániel István Poór met his research partner Mallinda Inc. in Denver (USA, Colorado) in August. He was accompanied on the trip by Dr. Ákos Pomázi, assistant professor of the Department of Polymer Engineering, another participant of the TéT project. At the meeting, the researchers presented and discussed the results achieved so far, and further research directions were also identified. After the discussion, they continued brainstorming and sharing experiences related to the experimental work in the company’s laboratory.
In addition to the project tasks, networking also played an important role during the time spent abroad. Our colleagues visited the Boulder campus of the University of Colorado, where they met researcher Prof. Yifu Ding and his team and discussed potential future collaborations. Prof. Ding conducts significant research in the field of polymer composites, mainly dealing with nanocomposites and polymer membranes (which are used in water purification).
This trip was made possible thanks to the support of the 2021-1.2.4-TÉT-2021-00050, which encourages scientific and technological cooperation between USA and Hungary.
