Student visits to the Bosch Rexroth CU.BE innovation centre

Posted on 2023.12.08.2023.12.07. By Takács Donát

Students and staff members of the Department of Manufacturing Science and Engineering have visited the new innovation centre of Bosch Rexroth called CU.BE on the 28th of November and the 7th of December. In the new showroom students had the opportunity to see the latest, innovative Industry 4.0 technologies of the company, including:

  • Robotic cell with collaborative robot (cobot)
  • Assembly system integrated with an augmented reality system
  • Mobile and industrial hydraulics in an Industry 4.0 framework
  • An Active Assist manual assembly system extended with a cobot, a hydraulic press and an AGV.

We would like to thank Bosch Rexroth and its employees for the warm welcome and the enjoyable guided tour! We hope that these visits were only the first ones among the many more in the following years. We are also looking forward to nurturing the partnership between the company and the Department, and use the unique infrastructure present at the CU.BE in many different ways in our educational activities, for the benefit of both parties.

The visits were organised as off-site laboratory practices for undergraduate mechatronics students in the subject of “Cyber-Physical Production Systems” (BMEGEGTBM71), as part of our Cyber-Physical Systems specialisation programme.
