On February 27, 2026, our Department (BME DMSE) hosted the 2026 Assembly of the Manufacturing Systems Deparment of the Scientific Association for Mechanical Engineering (GTE).
The event was opened by Head of Department Márton Takács, who, in his welcome address, presented the main competencies and current status of our Department. This was followed by high-quality professional presentations, providing the participants with an overview of current issues in manufacturing technology, as well as related international programs and collaborative initiatives. On behalf of BME DMSE, Ádám Jacsó presented a summary of his research results on energy-efficient solutions in CNC machining.
Within the framework of the Assembly, the new Executive Board of the Manufacturing Systems Department was also elected. Norbert Geier, Associate Professor of our Department, was elected President of the Manufacturing Systems Deparment of the Scientific Association for Mechanical Engineering. His work will be supported by Ádám Jacsó, Assistant Professor at our Department, who will serve as Secretary.
