Our Department was strongly represented at the 34th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering (OGÉT 2026), held at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár).
We were particularly pleased that, alongside our colleagues, several of our outstanding students also presented their latest research findings. The topics covered a wide range of areas, including incremental sheet forming, machine tool accuracy analysis, machining of polymer composites, assembly technology, VR-based simulation, and the monitoring and optimization of machining processes.
In addition to the professional program, the organizers also provided cultural activities. On Friday, participants had the opportunity to take part in a full-day excursion, visiting several notable sites, including the Kallós Zoltán Ethnographic Collection, the Armenian Catholic Church of Gherla (Szamosújvár), the Reformed Church of Sic (Szék), and the Bánffy Castle at Bonțida (Bonchida).
The Department was represented at the conference by:
Dr. Takács Márton, Dr. Jacsó Ádám, Budimir Alexander Buda, Takács Donát, Tancsa Viktor, Mező Péter Bálint, Polyák István, Markó Balázs, Szabó Eszter, Peszmeg László, Boncz Dávid, Bukor Levente, Kerülő Sebestyén Dénes.
The conference papers are available in the conference proceedings.
