Research interests and activities
My research interests are based on multidisciplinary research activities of industrial engineering and manufacturing sciences; including production engineering, quality engineering, sustainable supply chain design, production planning and scheduling, maintenance and reliability, manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems (e.g. system design, layout, planning and scheduling), energy efficiency in production systems, mathematical modeling, simulation, sustainable decision support systems, cleaner production and product life-cycle analysis. In addition to the new global industrial paradigms, such as, Industry 4.0, Smart Factories, Soft Robotics and Human-Machine-Interaction, maintenance scheduling and planning and ergonomic (Integration of human and robot systems). Currently, working on developing and utilizing combined methods of AI (ML-ANN), discrete simulation (Monte Carlo) and genetic algorithm optimization in maintenance planning and scheduling of complex manufacturing systems.
