As a follow-up to our colleague’s visit to Germany in November, our Department has hosted the representatives of Bosch Rexroth Kft. on March 14, 2023. During the visit, the possible areas of cooperation (education, research, grants and projects, student competitions) between the company and the department has been discussed. After the discussion, our guests visited the Department’s Cyber-physical production system currently in development, as well as several departmental labs (PLC lab, ultra-precision lab, robot lab).
On March 23, 2023, the department’s instructors were trained on the use of the Active Assist manual assembly system, which was previously donated to the department by the company. The system uses various Industry 4.0 solutions (interactive work instructions, hand-tracking, RFID identification, ultrasound tool localization, MES/ERP integration, etc.), making it an excellent fit for our cyber-physical production system development concept. We hope that our students will soon have the opportunity to work with this state-of-the-art equipment in project assignments and laboratory exercises as well!
