Enfield AI Summer School 2025

Posted on 2025.08.04.2025.08.03. By Takács Donát

Between 28 July and 1 August 2025, the ENFIELD AI Summer School 2025 took place in the framework of the ENFIELD project, organized by the Department of Telecommunications and Artifical Intelligence (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics) at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Throughout the one-week intensive course, participants attended a variety of lectures on artificial intelligence (AI), covering topics such as sustainability, cybersecurity, and ethical considerations in AI, as well as its applications in agriculture, healthcare, energy, space industry, and, most closely aligned with our Department’s activities, manufacturing technologies.

Our Department was represented by Dr. Ádám Jacsó, Donát Takács (research staff), and Eszter Szabó (student). Our colleagues achieved the highest score in the daily quizzes on three occasions, and in the overall ranking, all three of them finished among the top five out of more than 60 participants. Beyond the valuable and engaging presentations, the event provided a great opportunity for networking — both with colleagues from the organizing Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics and with other participants.
