Project PROGRAMS halfway

Posted on 2019.05.04. By Dr. Németh István

On 14th March 2019 the midterm (Month 18) meeting of the project PROGRAMS was held in Turin, Italy. PROGRAMS, entitled as “Prognostics based Reliability Analysis for Maintenance Scheduling”, is an international research project founded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union. The aim of the project is to design optimal maintainability solutions into production systems to improve operating life at maximised performance and reduce costs by carrying out maintenance activities at the most optimised time before failure occurs, thus minimising the degree of intervention required and maximising the system availability. The role of the Department of Manufacturing Science and Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) is to develop a maintenance decision support software system that contains statistical life data analysis tools, reliability and maintainability simulation tools, and maintenance strategy and schedule optimisation tools.

Delegates of the 13 partners of the consortium and the project monitor participated to the midterm meeting. The project fully achieved the goals planned for the midterm with success. The picture below was taken during the midterm meeting in Turin.
